Castel Albano is undoubtedly one of the most well-known medieval fortresses of this area

Unfortunately, only few remains of Castel Albano above the village of Mori have survived to this day. Due to a lack of archaeologic research studies, it is currently not possible to rebuild the original appearance of the castle.
Some legally valid inventories, and thus reliable sources on the monument, were found. According to such documents, the castle was composed of a two floored building connected to the main tower. It also featured a stable, a hayloft and a granary.
In 1440, after having created the aforementioned inventory, the castle was destroyed by Venetian troops.
