Castel Campo, a marvelous building with two cylindrical turrets surrounded by forests, stands at the edge of the piana di Lomaso

It is supposed that originally Castel Campo may have been used as a shelter due to its protected position and proximity to the roads of the Giudicarie Esteriori.
It is known for sure that in 1163 the castle became the residence of the Campos, a powerful family of that particular time period. Over the course of time the monument underwent several destructions and renovations. Due to several interventions it lost its medieval appearance almost completely and at the beginning of the 20th Century it was converted into a romantic villa.
The monument combines different architectural styles and has medieval and romantic elements, as well as neo-gothic features in some rooms. In 1920 it was purchased by the Rasinis from Milan who still own it today.
