Firmian Castle lies north-east of Mezzocorona and is surrounded by the vineyards of the Piana Rotaliana, below the cliff, where also Castel San Gottardo is situated.
The castle obtained its current appearance thanks to renovation works in the 18th century, when new parts were added. Its crenellated wall and the chemins de ronde are the only original structures to have survived to this day. In the spacious gallery surrounding the central lounge inside the castle, you can easily notice the shift from late-gothic to late-baroque style.
