The castle is nestled between apple trees and woods. Already around 1342 it was first mentioned as the property of the Lords of Coredo. At that time, Malgolo Castle consisted only of the original tower (Torre Grande). Later this tower was converted into a castle and a manorial residence. In the 19th century the castle was rebuilt in Romanesque style, but some medieval elements can still be seen today.
