Castello di Nomi

The remains of the Castello di Nomi stand on a rocky cliff on the hill Corona, overlooking the village of Nomi

Due to it being part of the fortified quadrilateral, which includes also Castel Beseno, Castel Pietra and Castel Barco, the Castello di Nomi is often associated with the Battle of Calliano, a conflict between the Republic of Venice and the Habsburg Empire. After having been the owners of the castle in alternate phases, the Castelbarco family abandoned it for a more comfortable palace in the village below.

Today, the few remains of the castle in Nomi delight you with a fantastic view on the valley and the other castles in the surroundings.
