The few remains of the “Torre Quadra” in Novaledo can be visited
Image gallery: Torre Quadra
Built around the 13th century at the border between the bishoprics of Trento and Feltre, the Torre Quadra of Novaledo was probably part of a defensive system, used to control the road of the Valsugana. The curtain wall of the monument, stretching from the mountain to the valley floor, served as a defensive system for the swamps of the valley. Originally, the two towers were connected by a drawbridge.
