Trento Economy Festival

In the Trento Economy Festival, economists, Nobel Prize winners and managers from all over the world meet to discuss on economic topics with the audience

The Economy Festival (Festival dell'Economia di Trento) has been brought into being in 2006 in order to enable and facilitate discussions between economists and a broad audience. The ultimate ambition of this festival is to make economic terminology accessible for everyone. The Festival dell'Economia di Trento takes place every year at the end of May (or beginning of June) in the historic Palazzi of the old town in Trento.

Well-known economists explain and interpret current economic issues, both from a economic-scientific and from a social and entrepreneurial viewpoint. In the course of the last years, numerous economy scholars and managers such as Sir Anthony Barnes Atkinson, Fan Gang, Zygmunt Bauman and the Nobel Prize winner Gary Becker and many others held speeches at the festival.

The Trento Economy Festival is a barrier-free event which can be easily attended also by disabled persons. Furthermore it is a sustainable event that puts emphasis on energy saving and climate protection.
