Hike from Pradalago to Lake Gelato

In Madonna die Campiglio we take the Pradalago Cable Car up to 2,100 m asl. Next to the mountain station of the cable car, the Pradalago Viviani mountain hut and the little Lake Pradalago are located.

The path is less than 4 km long and proceeds along the northern slope of the Val Nambino valley. Soon we reach the timberline, the path proceeds slightly uphill (390 m altitude difference). The view extends from the Brenta Dolomites to the Lake Nambino, the Pancugolo peaks, Mandron, Serodoli and the Val Gelata valley. The second part of the ascent proceeds through a rocky landscape with granite scree, a typical rock of the Presanella area. After the crossing with the Bozzetto Weg path we reach the first of the five lakes, Lake Serodoli. The plateau is located at 2,400 m asl., numerous ponds can be found here, in the clear water the surrounding mountains are reflected. Also Lake Gelato is situated here.

Due to cloudiness, we decide not to visit the Lambin and Ritort Lakes, it is too dangerous today. After a rest at the beautiful Lake Serodoli we start our way back to the Pradalago mountain hut, along the same way.
