Located at 2,671 m, its name Rifugio Torre di Pisa derives from the rock tower that rises into the sky in the immediate surroundings. Our tour starts at the Passo Feudo (2,190 m), that can be reached from Predazzo via the Latemar funicular and the Gardoné chair lift. Soon the path becomes steeper, but is well-cultivated and makes us reach the Rif. Torre di Pisa without any difficulty. Soon we also discover the Pisa tower pinnacle and our walk continues on the slopes of the Valsorda towers.
The route 516 takes us to the turn-off to the so-called Gamsstall Scharte, where we follow the path no. 18, taking us through the rocky scenery in the south of the Corno d'Ega and providing a view on the Regglberg mountain and the village of Nova Ponente. We finally reach our walking destination and it is high time to start our way back. You also have the possibility to take the path no. 18 or the path no 22 to the Passo Feudo (see also the Hike from the Feudo pass to Mt Latemar and Pampeago).
