Thanks to the road, which goes up over 2,000 m a.s.l., the lakes of the Nambrone valley are easily accessible
The Val Nambrone valley is a side valley of the Valle di Campiglio valley and branches between Pinzolo and Sant'Antonio di Mavignola. The valley is not only famous for the gorgeous panoramic views on the Brenta Dolomites but also for its lakes.
The snow which is collected on the glaciers during the winter, melts again in summer, this meltwater reaches the lakes and feeds the Sarca river, which passes through the valley. The Cornisello Lakes are located at 2,120 m asl., the Lago Nero lake at 2,200 m a.s.l. and the Lake Vedretta at impressive 2,600 m a.s.l.
By car you can reach an altitude of more than 2,000 m a.s.l., near the first of the Cornisello Lakes. From there several paths proceed up to the other lakes and the peaks of the Presanella mountain group.
