Thanks to the road, which goes up over 2,000 m a.s.l., the lakes of the Nambrone valley are easily accessible
The Val Nambrone valley is a side valley of the Valle di Campiglio and branches off between Pinzolo and Sant'Antonio di Mavignola. The valley is not only famous for the gorgeous panoramic views it offers on the Brenta Dolomites but also for its lakes.
The snow amasses on the glaciers in winter and begins to melt in summer. The melting water reaches the lakes and feeds the Sarca river, which crosses the valley. The Cornisello Lakes are located at 2,120 m a.s.l., the Lago Nero lake at 2,200 m a.s.l. and the Lake Vedretta at an impressive altitude of 2,600 m a.s.l.
By car you can reach an altitude of more than 2,000 m a.s.l., and drive near the first of the Cornisello Lakes. From there several paths proceed up to the other lakes and to the peaks of the Presanella mountain group.
