The spring walk leads to the turquoise mountain lake near Tenno, starting at the medieval village of Canale, a natural monument

The community of Tenno in the area of the Garda Trentino is less known as Riva, Arco or Torbole. Nevertheless this region can still boast natural and cultural monuments and is an insider tip for trips and excursions. Especially in spring, when it's not so hot yet, we can recommend this walk.
Our starting point is the upper parking space at Canale di Tenno. We visit the medieval village centre, all buildings of the village are still preserved in original building culture. Therefore Canale is a natural monument.
At the way out of the village the path no. 406 to the Lago di Tenno starts. We walk about 15 minutes, then the magic turquoise lake is in sight. The colour of the water reminds of kitschy postcards, but it's real! We do a comfortable walk around the lake along the unobstructed waterfront. There is only a small kiosk with refreshments and toilets. Now in April the temperature of the water is still quite cold and only the bravest jump into the blue. But in few weeks many people will cool down here. To come back we take the same path.
