This walking tour in spring leads to the Cascatelle di Carano, small waterfalls near Cavalese in the Val di Fiemme valley
Image gallery: Hike to the small waterfalls of Carano
Our starting point is Maso Cela, a small locality at the Dolomite road which proceeds from Cavalese and Castello di Fiemme to the San Lugano pass. Next to the bus stop and the small parking space we find the marker which shows us the path to the small waterfalls.
We walk into the small valley, the path proceeds through the forest across bridges and streams. After about 1 km we already arrive at the small waterfalls which are coated by a net of bridges. The creek and the numerous small branches give the valley a fascinating atmosphere, a special place not only for children.
Following the path we reach a larch forest opposite of Dos Veronza. The marker no. 52 now leads us to the village of Carano, there we walk downwards to Cavalese where our tour ends. This walk has a length of about 4 km, pleasant to do in off-seasons as well as in summer.
