At the edge of the forest of Paneveggio, the Malga Bocche mountain hut is located in a beautiful meadow and offers a fantastic view on the Passo Rolle, Lagorai Ridge and the peaks of the Pala Group

The well-known Bocche Mountain Hut, which was awarded “Most beautiful mountain hut of the Trentino” in 2015, is accessible along three routes. One starting point is the Passo di Lusia pass which can easily be reached by the several ski lifts. Alternatively a hiking path proceeds up which starts in the small village of Paneveggio. The third route is the path, which starts at the Passo Valles, proceeds through a dense forest and crosses a beautiful larch forest in the upper section, where also remains of WWI can be seen.
Today we choose this latter route. We start at the Malga Vallazza which is located a few kilometres before the Passo Valles at the road from Predazzo or Passo Rolle to Passo Valles. At the Malga Vallazza we follow path no. 623 until the Juribrutto Hut and from there further to the Bocche Mountain Hut, our destination.
For our way back we take the same route. Although we are always walking more or less at approx. 2,000 m a.s.l., there are some short ascents and descents. Like this we have managed an altitude difference of 600 metres (each direction) at the end of our hike.
