The mountain chain which is 30 km long and 2,218 m high, divides the Valle d'Adige valley from Lake Garda and offers a great view. The Tratto Spino (2,218 m a.s.l.) can be reached within 20 minutes by the "Malcesine – S. Michele – Monte Baldo" funicular, which starts at the lake and was built in 2002.
Alpine skiers can find about 10 km of ski slopes of varying difficulty, featuring a drop of 400 m. The slopes are called Campo Scuola Paperino, Pozza della Stella, Prà Alpesina, Colma, Passo del Lupo and Variante A2 in Prà Alpesina.
Also on Monte Baldo, on the Brentonico High Plateau, is the San Valentino - Polsa Ski Area with 24 km of slopes. Some days a week it is connected to the Baldo - Garda Ski Area by a shuttle bus.
Please note: There is no artificial snowmaking system in the ski area, so the opening of the lifts and pistes depends entirely on the natural snow conditions. Please inform yourself about the opening times at the ticket office of the cable car by calling +39 045 7400206.
Winter season 2024/25: The Malcesine-Monte Baldo cable car will be out of service in the 2024/25 winter season until Easter 2025 due to maintenance work.
