The classical snow-shoe tour takes us from Passo Redebus to the summit of Mt Dosso Costalta in the south-west of the Lagorai mountain chain, the water divide between the Pinè highland and the Val dei Mocheni

The Dosso di Costalta is one of the most beautiful peaks in the Valle dei Mocheni, an idyllic valley only 15 km far away from Trento. The summit offers a unique panoramic view on the Monte Baldo, Cima Tosa, Carè Alto and South Tyrol from the skiing and hiking area Merano 2000 until the Sciliar.
Starting point of this hike is the Redebus mountain pass, accessible from the Valle dei Mocheni towards Palù del Fersina or from Baselga die Piné. At the parking space at the fork of the Combroncoi pasture, towards the Valle dei Mocheni, we leave our car and walk towards the Dosso di Costalta either along the forest path or the steeper path no. 404. Both proceed to the Cambroncoi Mountain Hut where we arrive after about one hour.
The hut is ideal for a short break before we carry on walking along the path no. 404. After a steep ascent for about one hour we finally reach the summit of the 1,957 m high Dosso di Costalta. For our way back we take the same route.
Please note: next to the parking space there's a little mountain hut as rest point which offers local dishes. Also the Cambroncoi mountain hut is located along the path - it is open only at the weekends in winter.
