The small village of Grauno is located in the upper part of the Val di Cembra valley at the border to the Val di Fiemme valley

Grauno has 150 inhabitants and is located on the right of the Avisio river at 976 m asl. The small village has preserved its traditional architectural style, characterised by archways, fountains and balconies.
The village is famous for its carnival in the entire Trentino, it has a long tradition and ends with burning a pine tree on Fat Tuesday, a symbolic act of reconciliation and fertility. Moreover several events and entertainments for everybody take place during the whole carnival week.
Grauno is a very popular starting point for hikes and mountain bike tours, as it is located near the Monte Corno Nature Park. A visit to the mill of Grauno, which has been restored lately, can also be recommended.
