Giovo is situated above Lavis and below Cembra Lisignago and is characterised by handicraft and agriculture. Particularly worth seeing is Giovo Castle, also called "Castello della Rosa". This castle has got prehistoric origins, but has only been preserved in parts. Other sights include the church Santa Maria Assunta situated at Verla di Giovo, which had been built between 1766 and 1774 in late gothic style. Another church, especially striking due to its location at the top of a hill, is the San Florian church. However, perfect for a relaxing walk are for example the Mancabrot and Lac de Montesel natural trail.
