Dorsino rises on a moraine terrace which was formed by the Sarca river at the entrance of the Val d’Ambiez valley, right at the border to the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park.
Worth to be visited are the S. Giorgio church, boasting several frescos by C. Baschenis, as well as the Dell’Assunta church located in the village of Tavodo.
In the course of time vinegrowing at Dorsino got increasingly important so that in the course of time it has become a meeting point for gourmets and those who love the Trentino cuisine as well as delicious wines. Many of them also come to this area to taste the famous “ciuìga”, a local sausage product, which is made of pork and bolied turnips.
