From Lake Molveno to the Banale high plateau at the foot of the impressive Brenta Dolomites, and on the other side of the valley, which by the way was formed by the Sarca river, the green elevated plains of Bleggio and Lomaso: That’s what the holiday area Dolomiti di Brenta-Comano, particularly famous for the Comano thermal baths, is all about. A promenade takes you from Ponte Arche to the widely known thermal baths, which are supposed to have a healing effect on dermatologic disorders.
At Stenico, only a stone’s thow away, there is the eponymous castle, which is probably one of the most ancient fortresses of Trentino. Already in the Middle Ages it was residence of the archbishop of Trento. Also the ancient farms of Bleggio and San Lorenzo in Banale, as well as the prehistoric pile dwellings of Fiavè are particularly interesting from a cultural point of view.
