One of the main buildings of Arco is Arco Castle. The castle is definitely one of the most beautiful ones all over the Trentino region. This is also the reason why you find it on numerous paintings and pictures, such as a watercolour painting by famous Albrecht Dürer, which nowadays is exhibited at the Louvre.
The town of Arco is surrounded by a number of rocky mountains and thus known as a popular climbing area. In the centre of the town you will find numerous climbing halls.
For 20 years now every summer the so-called “Rock Master” has been organised, an international free climbing cup attracting climbers from all over the world.
Arco is a great place also for mountain bikers and cyclists, as the surrounding area is ideally-suited to this kind of sports. Here, at the heart of the mountains, you can enjoy nature with all its pleasures.
