This magic village north of Torbole is located at the feet of Penede Castle. From Nago, Lake Garda can be seen, one of the most beautiful lakes of Italy. Unforgettable panoramic views and surroundings with a gorgeous Mediterranean vegetation can be enjoyed here.
In Nago also the Penede Castle Ruin can be found, a fantastic viewpoint surrounded by a beautiful park. From the Middle Ages until the beginning of the 18th century this old ruin was a symbol of power. Thanks to safety work the castle can be visited today – it is accessible from the centre of Nago and from Forte Alto along a beautiful hiking path.
During a stay in Nago you should not miss a visit to the glacial potholes “Marmitte dei Giganti”! They are situated along a panoramic road from Nago to Torbole which also leads to the Forte di Nago, an Austro-Hungarian fortress from 1861.
By the way: Here you may gain a fabulous view on Lake Garda!
