Darè is idyllically located at 600 m a.s.l. amidst the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park and has about 300 inhabitants. In the old part of the village ancient architecture still can be found, stone cottages with shingle roofs and elegant portals. The portals have been ornamented with noble coat of arms and wooden superstructures. Worth seeing is the St. Rochus Chapel from 1579 and the Casa Cüs which houses an exhibition.
Plenty of hiking paths lead through the fantastic Brenta Mountain Group up to the glaciers of the Adamello-Presanella-Alps at 3,500 m a.s.l. Only few kilometres far from Darè the Madonna di Campiglio skiing area with its pistes in winter and numerous hiking paths in summer is located. Moreover the surrounding of Darè is well-suited for fishing, mountain biking, paragliding and hang-gliding.
