In the south of the chief city of Trento, there is the village of Aldeno, located in a landscape that is ideal for winegrowing. Moreover in the municipal area of Aldeno fruit and vegetable are cultivated. Beside fruit growing and viticulture also iron and wood trade are important branches in the village.
In the course of history Aldeno was part of the so-called "Comun Comunale", which is a kind of consortium that is made up of several villages and that is aimed at the protection of fallow terrain and public forests. The event "Comun Comunale, i giochi e la regola", usually taking place between May and June, makes revive ancient customs and traditions. This fascinating mixture of parades, ancient costumes, dances, concerts and much more on the village square and in public buildings is an absolute must-see!
