The village of Aldeno south of the capital of Trento boasts an ideal terrain for the cultivation of refined vineyards, fruits and vegetables. Besides agriculture, also the production of wood and iron handicrafts plays an essential role for the local economy.
In former times Aldeno was part of the Comun Comunale, a consortium of different villages with the aim of protecting uncultivated land and public forests. Every year in June, the feast "Comun Comunale, i giochi e la regola" brings the fascinating local traditions, such as cortèges, traditional clothes, dances, concerts and reenactments on the main square and in the castles back to life!
