Garniga Terme, situated at the foot of Monte Bondone, is an ideal starting point for walks, hikes and sports activities in the beautiful surroundings: the Viote Plateau, Monte Bondone with its three peaks Cima Verde (2,100 m), Monte Cornetto (2,170 m) and Doss d'Abramo (2,140 m), the nearby ski area and a cross-country ski centre in winter.
Garniga is known as one of the most symbolic places for phytobalneotherapy, commonly called "grass or hay baths", a spa treatment with ancient roots typical for certain areas of the Alpine area, which over the centuries has become a real therapy for certain diseases. The herbs come from the nearby meadows of the Viote (Monte Bondone), where you can also visit the "Viote Alpine Botanical Garden" in summer, which is part of the "MUSE" science museum. The herbs are excellent for treating rheumatic, orthopaedic and muscular problems.
The two churches of the village are remarkable: the Church of the Sacred Heart, near the central public park, where there is also a small lake and a playground, and the older Church of Sant'Osvaldo, dating back to 1377, situated in a panoramic position on the Dos dei Nozi and offering a splendid view on the Adige Valley.
