The municipality of Zambana has once been an important place along the Adige transit route. In 1955 the village was completely destroyed by a slumping, in the years after it was completely rebuilt in the centre of the Val d’Adige valley close to Lavis.
The newly emerged village is above all famous for fruit growing and the white asparagus, which is also the central theme of village fairs and events. With good reasons, as the quality of this asparagus is widely known and this vegetable is used to create numerous local dishes. You absolutely do not have to miss a degustation!
