Castello is located at 953 metres above sea level in the Val di Fiemme, one of the main valleys in the Dolomites. Besides Molina, Predaia and Stramentizzo it belongs to the mountain community of Castello-Molino di Fiemme. The locality of Castello is also the seat of the local authorities and has got a well-preserved village centre, dating back to the 16th century. Moreover there are several other facilities and accomodations.
Both in winter and summer, Castello has become centre of attraction, as it offers a huge variety of possibilities regarding leisure time activities, for example tennis courts, bowling, sport fields etc. Moreover Castello is a perfect location for those who love cross country skiing, as it is also venue of different national and international sport events.
There are also different facilities available in the village, as for example post office, farmacy, bank etc. Moreover you can admire the historical "Case Romane", dating back to the 16th century.
