In the heart of the Val di Non valley, on a gorgeous green high plateau, Coredo (1,500 inhabitants) is located at 831 m a.s.l. Woods, clean air, mild climate and the idyllic landscape make the village a popular destination for relaxing and quiet holidays.
The art nouveau villas, which date back to the beginning of the 20th century, show the long tradition as a holiday resort. The magic historic village centre surrounds the main square with the Church of the Assumption of Mary, built between 1943 and 1948. Worth seeing is also the “Casa Marta” house in Venetian style of the 16th century and the little church dedicated to the Sorrowful Mother of God with its precious Baroque altar.
In Coredo numerous easy walking paths start, for example to the artificial ponds of Coredo and Tavon, to the pilgrimage site San Romedio and to the ancient Venetian Saw with the “Wood Museum”. For the young however there is the “Predaia Park”, an amusement park amidst meadows. In winter the slopes of the skiing area “Passo Mendola – Predaia – Monte Nock – Monte Roen” are in close vicinity.
