Dos, San Rocco and Mimiela – these are the names of the three hills on which Tres extends. In former times the hill “Dos” was the place of the then existing hillfort and on “San Rocco” the community meetings took place.
Today the parish church dedicated to Saint Rocco is enthroned on the middle of the three hills, surrounded by the Prà del Lac Park. Also worth seeing is the Gothic Saint Agnes Church, one of the most beautiful and typical mountain churches of the region. It has a shingle-covered saddle roof and an impressive stone portal as well as precious frescoes, some of them done by the Baschenis brothers. Also worth a visit is the St. Sigmund Church in the district of Vion.
On the way to Vervò you reach the Predaia High Plateau which invites to gorgeous hikes in summer and to spend nice skiing days in winter.
