Ronzone, located in the upper Val di Non valley, is a popular holiday destination both in summer and winter, not only due to its sunny location and natural landscape. The village offers a view on the valley and is considered to be a climatic spa due to its beneficial climate.
About a century ago, the first hotels were built here in Ronzone, including the "Regina del Bosco" ("Queen of the Forest"), which was once the hunting residence of the Habsburgs.
The village consists of a historical southern part as well as a norhern part with residential zone and accomodations for tourists.
The rather modern parish church rises in the centre of the village and features a detatched steeple with pointed gable. Not far from this church, there is a historical church dedicated to San Antonio. Also in the centre, there is a small chapel, which is above all famous due to a 300-year-old life-size "Christ at the Column". In fact, the structure of Ronzone is referable to its reconstruction, consequently to a devastating fire in 1891 AD.
Regarding spare time activities, Ronzone has got several facilities as tennis courts and a heated outdoor pool to offer. Moreover there are interesting museums, e.g. the Collectors' Museum (Museo delle Cartolie d’Epoca e del Collezionismo) as well as the Historical museum of the Anaunia (Museo degli Usi e Costumi d’Anaunia). Those who love mountains will enjoy tours in the mountains of the Val di Non valley as well as pleasant walks across the "Regole" meadows. As far as winter sports are concerned, the nearest ski areas are on Mt. Roen and Mt. Nock, in the Ruffrè-Mendola area and in the Folgarida-Marilleva Ski Area in the Val di Sole.
