Rumo, or "Rum" in the Val di Non dialect, is a spacious municipality in the northern Val di Non. The area between the two rivers Pescara and Lavazè is composed of the districts of Lanza, Mocenigo, Mione-Corte Inferiore and Marcena, the latter being the main village of the municipality. The fresco of the Last Supper is by the brothers Giovanni and Battista Baschenis. The parish church of St. Paul in Marcena, a building that dates back to the 15th century, is also among the places of worship. Inside it houses a beautiful organ from 1763, while a bas-relief on the side portal depicts Saint Romedius together with the bear - as in the legend.
If you like to spend time in nature, there are many opportunities to relax or be active in the municipality of Rumo and its surroundings: Picking mushrooms in autumn, ski tours in winter and mountain bike tours in the warmer season, for example on the "Rankipino" trail, a 57 km long cycling route that leads from the Passo delle Palade at the transition from South Tyrol into the Val di Non to the entrance of the Val di Sole valley. Along the way, you'll pass numerous beautiful natural spots and long-established villages. Rumo is also one of them...
