Once called “le Quattro Ville” due to its four districts of Sanzenone, Rallo, Pavillo and Campo, today Tassullo is part of the municipality of Ville d'Anaunia, embedded in the apple orchards south of the Lake Santa Giustina.
A particular place of interest in the village is the elegant Valer Castle. The beautifully located and well-preserved castle with its 40 m high keep, the two chapels with frescoes and the preciously furnished halls is surrounded by apple orchards. Normally the castle is not open to the public, today it is a venue for events and an accommodation.
A special destination in the area around Tassullo is the Malga Tassulla mountain hut in the Val Nana valley, where numerous hiking paths start, like the one to the Rifugio Monte Peller.
