Monclassico is located in the vicinity of the Folgarida-Marilleva skiing area, in front of the impressive scenery of the Brenta Dolomites

Next to the high plateau of Dimaro the last village of the Val di Sole valley is located at 790 m a.s.l. With success apples and other fruits are cultivated here. The origins of Monclassico date back to Iron Age, proved by a little loom weight which was found in this place.
The idyllic village is characterised by lordly houses with beautiful windows and stone portals. In the first years of the new millennium an interesting project was originated, to popularise Monclassico as “the village of the sundials”. Every year in July national and international artists attach five sundials on the external walls of the buildings. Also a visit to the Saint Vigil Church and the Piazza della Fontana should be scheduled, where an ancient house with an interesting fresco from 1511 is located.
Sports enthusiasts find a tennis court, bowling alley, football ground and possibilities for paragliding in Monclassico. In winter the neighbouring skiing areas of Folgarida and Marilleva invite with best-prepared pistes. Also the fist so-called “organic” lake (biolago) of the Trentino can be found in Monclassico!
