Besenello benefits from its sunny location and its mild climate and is surrounded by fruit orchards and vineyards. Besenello offers a wide variety of possibilities regarding excursion destinations for mountain biking or hiking, such as the Sentiero dell'Imperatore path, once established for military reasons. This trail leads from Acquaviva to the Santa Trinità church. Particularly impressive, however, is the abyss on the right side of the church oriented towards Rio Secco.
On a hill above the village, the mighty Castel Beseno rises. This castle complex is one of the most important throughout the entire region. Since 1800 the castle has been in the hands of the Autonomous province of Trento, which had the castle complex renewed and established a branch of the Castello del Buonconsiglio museum here. Today Castel Beseno is also venue for numerous events, also of historical nature.
The area is famous for the production of Moscato Giallo, a well-known aromatic white wine from the upper Vallagarina valley. Not to be missed in September is the "Magnalonga" culinary walk organised by the municipalities of Besenello, Volano and Calliano.
