Along the wide, well-kept beaches, in the campsites, in the typical restaurants, during a walk or a picnic on the long promenade near the shore, the relaxing rhythm ensures well-being. The clear waters of the lake, which was awarded the Blue Flag in 2024, are also ideal for numerous water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and rowing. An easy hike of about one hour leads uphill from Caldonazzo to the Torre dei Sicconi on Mt. Rive, from where there is a magnificent panoramic view on the lake and its surroundings.
The historical centre of Caldonazzo features a typical rural image, with ancient buildings and wooden ceilings. Those interested in culture might pay a visit to a castle called “Magnifica Corte Trapp”, once the seat of the administrative authorities. Opposite to the castle is the San Sisto church, dating back to the 14th century.
