Frassilongo is the first village you reach in the Valle dei Mocheni. In the language of this valley Frassilongo is also called “Garait”. The village is almost completely settled by a population of Germanic origins and consists of farms that are scattered across the spacious meadows. In the component locality of Roveda the Istituto Culturale Mocheno renovated a historic mill that has also been opened to the public.
Also Kamaoyront, a further component locality of Frassilongo, is worth to be visited, even only due to its location. In Frassilongo you can also experience the origins of the culture of the Valle dei Mocheni and get to know more about the history of this valley. Of course you also have to take a look into the parish church dating back to the 16th century, which in the interior boasts a figurine of the patron saint of Frassilongo, Saint Udalico.
